The National Academy of Engineering is among the highest professionaldistinctionsaccorded to an engineer. Members of the academy have made outstanding contributions to engineering research, practice or education.

While other members have:
pioneerednew and developing fields of technology

As per the press release by the academy, the newly elected class will be formally inducted during the National Academy of Engineering annual meeting on October 2, 2022.
